Device Description

The MSI-951 029 is an industrial interface converter designed to connect up to four linear position sensors with Start/Stop output to a Profibus-DP network. The device ensures high-precision transmission of position data over an RS-485 interface supporting the Profibus-DP protocol and is intended for use in automated control and monitoring systems.

The converter can simultaneously process signals from up to four sensors, ensuring stable operation, high resolution, and flexible configuration via GSD files.

Status Diagnostics

1. Sensor Status Indicator (Green)

Normal operation (sensor transmitting position data): The LED is continuously illuminated in green.
No signal / Fault: The LED is off. This indicates one of the following conditions:
- The position magnet is outside the sensor measuring range.
- The sensor is not connected to the unit or is damaged.

2. Power Indicator

Power ON: The LED is illuminated (typically red or green depending on the model), indicating that the unit is receiving power.
Power OFF: The LED is OFF.
